ChipsAway reached its 20,000th Trustpilot review and celebrated the milestone with a generous discount for the customer who wrote it.
The van-based franchise decided to make a random act of kindness for the kind customer, offering him £200 off his vehicle repair. Andy Williams, who visited the ChipsAway Car Care Centre in Northampton after his Ford Transit got scratched, wrote,
“Second vehicle we’ve taken here and another excellent job, customer service second to none. Thank you very much.”
When finding out about his £200 discount, he said,
“I was shocked and surprised to get £200 off my repair plus a bottle of prosecco - what a lovely gesture! The service I received from Tony Blair was outstanding and I would have no hesitation going back to him.”
It didn’t take long for ChipsAway to reach this impressive milestone, as it only celebrated its 10,000th review seven months ago. The high level of feedback is indicative of the franchise’s positive performance, as it’s just seen its strongest quarter in its 26-year history. From June to August, the franchise distributed more than 81,000 customer leads across its network of over 200 franchise partners, which equates to over 400 enquiries per franchisee.
Tony Blair, who owns Northampton’s ChipsAway centre, explained the motivation behind the generous gift:
