Business Partnership is continuing its UK expansion and has added a new franchisee to its network.
The business franchise’s newest investor, Iain McCoo, is originally from Belfast, but spent his formative years in South Africa. Since then, he’s helped develop and restructure companies in the UK, Brazil and India.
Over his career so far, he’s worked with global investment banks including Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers, accumulating expertise in pension and wealth planning in particular.
Now, Iain will head up Business Partnership’s new unit in Essex, bringing with him more than three decades of board-level experience. He’ll support business buyers and sellers across the Romford and Southend-on-Sea region.
Iain explained why he was so keen to join Business Partnership and launch his very own business,
“After many years spent travelling with my job, I decided to step off the corporate treadmill and look for a new business to apply my skills to. Business Partnership was a natural fit as it shares my values of trust, honesty, openness and transparency. I’m delighted to be joining the team and using my global experience and local knowledge to help clients achieve their goals.
“Having been involved in acquisitions and disposals, not all of which ran smoothly, I understand the potential pitfalls and what is required on all sides to overcome any obstacles. Communication and keeping a cool head are vital.”
Business Partnership is looking forward to establishing more branches across the UK in 2021. The franchise has already developed a network of 20 regional franchisees, who provide a comprehensive brokerage service for business buying and selling processes. Last year, the franchise’s client transactions reached a total value of £13.5 million.
