Brokerplan held its first ever conference, which included 50 network members and its lender partners from all across the country.

Brokerplan hosted its inaugural network conference, marking five years since it was awarded Principal Status by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). 50 members of its rapidly growing franchise network and 10 of its finance partners came along to the event, which gave them the chance to learn, get motivated, network and celebrate their peers’ achievements.

The event was hosted at the Arden Hotel in Solihull and was opened with a speech from John Kent, Deputy MD at Brokerplan. He explained the day’s structure and introduced a series of 10 mini presentations/discussions that took place over the morning and lunchtime.

A number of awards were presented to the top performing members of the finance franchise by Lenders and Operations Director, David Fine. Broker of the Year went to Darren Peacock of Peacock Finance, who has generated more than £500,000 in gross fee income over the last four years. Rob Griffin of Aspired Finance took home the Most Completed Cases title, as he managed to complete 110 cases in just 12 months.

As for those new to the network, Justin Matravers (of Choice Finance) claimed the title of Best First Case, as he managed to secure a case that has paid out more than £100,000 over the last four years, while Mark Everard from Michaels Commercial took home the title of Best Newcomer. Finally, James Wallis of Aben Finance took home the Laissez Faire award, for managing to generate a six-figure income just from working part time.

Following the exciting awards ceremony, Stuart Myers from World At Your Feet treated everyone to a highly motivational speech, before they enjoyed dinner at the Jilabi Restaurant. The next day, most of the attendees also visited the NACFB Expo at the NEC, where they could attend informative seminars and speak to the founder of parent group White Rose Finance, Geoff Wilson.
