In a recent LinkedIn post, the estate agency signage franchise announced the good news about its continued BFA accreditation.

First established in 1998, Agency Express has been a proud member of the BFA since just a year after, in 1999. In the words of the van based franchise, “We are delighted to share that we have been re-accredited. There is no better stamp of approval for any franchise.” Established in 1977, the British Franchise Association (BFA) is a voluntary self-accrediting body in the UK franchising industry. According to the BFA, “All full and associate members of the BFA must meet four key criteria.”

The first of these criteria is that franchise businesses must be viable, with evidence to show that their products/services are saleable and pulling in enough profit to sustain a franchise network. The second is that transfer of know-how to new franchisees must be possible. Thirdly, BFA-accredited franchises must be ethical, “structured and operated in accordance with the ethical principles set out in the European Code of Ethics for Franchising, which covers matters of advertising, recruiting, selecting, and interactions with franchisees”. Finally, businesses must be fully disclosed and unambiguous with their franchisees.

As the BFA explains, “These principles underpin the accreditation process before membership is granted. As part of their application, franchisors are expected to demonstrate how they meet these standards and provide evidence, where appropriate.” Agency Express’s renewed accreditation proves the franchise’s ability to meet these important criteria, allowing potential franchisees to see that franchising with the business is a great investment.

If you’d like to become an Agency Express franchisee, you can make a minimum initial investment of £12,500, with a total investment cost of £24,500 and a combined operating, advertising and royalty fee charged at 15%. After two years, your expected revenue as a franchisee is £40,000.
