As a franchisee, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of your business, you are not to do any of the orders you receive, but will be deploying technicians to do them. We're requiring our candidates to participate in our 6 to 8 week initial training programme called “Sure Start.” During this period franchisees will prepare a financial plan, secure a territory, acquire proper insurance, permits, licenses, and even vehicles; this will be followed by a 10-day classroom training regime. Yet it doesn't stop there! Throughout the duration of your business, we will continue to support you with various conventions, regional meetings, and even webinars. You can invest with confidence knowing that our top of the line support is here to back you up in your new journey.

How to be Mr. Handyman

Our franchisees come from diverse backgrounds —from businessmen, to advertisers, and anyone seeking better opportunities. Furthermore, there are no gender stereotypes at Mr. Handyman; in fact, 28% of our franchisees are women. The franchisee does not need any background in carpentry or construction to be qualified; we have our specialised technicians to work on the orders. We require an initial franchise fee of £25,000 and an additional working fee of £35,000. However, we agree to finance a portion of the fees based on the franchisee's background. Overall, we are looking for goal-driven individuals willing to help us in spreading our brand's quality service.

Mr. Handyman was founded in in 1996 by David Lavalle in Massachusetts. The business concept was purchased by Michigan-based franchiser, Service Brands International, and started franchising in 2000. Later in 2015, the Dwyer Group acquired Service Brands, along with their franchise brands.
