At their recent summer conference, TFC welcomed Dugan Aylen to the top spot, a familiar and trusted face to many in the franchising world who had previously acted as the Director of Marketing, Franchise Recruitment and Business Development.
Dugan’s appointment signals a bold new phase for the company as it sharpens its focus on delivering smarter, more integrated support to the sector. With decades of experience supporting franchisors across the UK and internationally, Dugan will continue to play a key role in shaping not only TFC’s growth and strategic direction but also in putting the company front and centre of the wider conversation around the future of franchising.
Franchising is still a remarkable engine for driving sustainable business growth, for both franchisors and those looking to start their own business for the first time”, says Dug. “However, the last 10 years of change and uncertainty has driven sweeping transformations across the industry. What companies and franchisors need, and what franchisees expect, has changed a great deal.
“At TFC, we’re in a unique position because we already have everything we need to support a new era of growth: an exceptional team, a powerful network, and decades of insight. Our biggest strength has always been the incredible people who are part of TFC, and the extraordinary breadth and depth of experience they bring. We have over 350 years of combined franchise experience and have advised over 900 businesses about franchising. My role now is about making sure we use that strength to benefit not only our clients, but the wider franchise community as a whole.”
Under Dug’s leadership, TFC is doubling down on what has always been one of its biggest strengths: a client-focused approach which blends strategic consultancy with flexible, hands-on support tailored around each brand’s unique franchising journey. From one-off advisory sessions to fully outsourced franchise services, the team’s collective expertise is being brought together in more integrated, accessible ways.
TFC’s aim isn’t just to be a service provider, but also a strategic partner and trusted voice in the wider franchising community, placing even greater emphasis on honest advice and practical insights to help franchisors and franchisees grow with confidence.
Dug’s message is clear: the future of franchising is bright, and TFC is ready to lead the way!
