Leightons has announced that it’s recruited an experienced and knowledgeable audiologist to head up one of its departments.
Leightons has welcomed onboard an incredibly experienced and passionate new member of staff that will take the optician franchise to the next level.
Melanie Gregory has been appointed as Leightons’ new clinical and commercial lead. The new role will see her working on taking the franchise’s learning and development outcomes to the next level, as well as ensuring each of its branches keeps a strong focus on care that puts the patient at the very heart.
With more than two decades of experience working with adults that have suffered hearing loss, Gregory’s appointment will serve to strengthen Leighton’s audiology services that it offers alongside its excellent eye care. She has worked in South Africa for much of her career and has experience running her own practice, as well as holding positions as William Demant’s Oticon and the IDA Institute in Denmark.
Speaking about her new role, Gregory expressed how excited she is to use her experience to help Leightons improve its services even further.
“I am looking forward to applying all that I have learnt over the years, combining my business and clinical experience, with my passion for person-centred practice and rehabilitative audiology to support Leightons businesses and their growing team of audiologists.”
Leightons offer a free hearing test in all of its branches so that you can see if you’d benefit from any hearing assistance or aids. Carried out by highly trained hearing aid audiologists, its comprehensive hearing assessments look for hearing impairments and spot things that could potentially impact your hearing in the future. All of its professionals are registered with the HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council) and are full member of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologist, so you can rest assured that you’re in safe, knowledgeable hands.
