TruGreen’s parent company, ServiceMaster, is trialling online booking for its sister brands.
The company behind TruGreen Professional Lawncare is trialling online booking services for its brands. ServiceMaster Group has begun trialling e-commerce, something that is rarely used within the franchising world, with TruGreen’s sister brand ServiceMaster Clean.
The group’s introduction of the market-leading e-commerce system has already given a boost to business and will allow its brands to stay at the forefront of customer and business needs, by adapting to effectively use technology. Although customers of the lawn care franchise won’t be able to take advantage of the online service just yet, it’s hoped its parent brand will be able to soon establish the service across all of its franchises soon.
As well as benefitting customers, by offering a 24/7 booking service that’s convenient and easy to use, the e-commerce system will benefit franchisees too. In the future, TruGreen’s franchisees will be able to reap the benefits, by seeing new work filling up the diary without having to employ admin staff to man the phones, which could also reduce costs. It’s hoped that the online service will also attract new, younger customers to ServiceMaster’s brands and make its brand’s presence more visible online.
TruGreen Lawn Care is the longest established franchise of its kind anywhere on the planet. Founded in 1973 and welcomed into the ServiceMaster home services specialist family in 1990, it now maintains around 3.4 million lawns across the globe. Franchisees are well looked after by the dedicated support staff, with over 60 of them including industry experts offering advice and support to franchisees. New franchisees simply need a keen interest in gardening and a love of the outdoors to join, with all new recruits undertaking a two-week training course to give them all the tools to start a successful business.
