The Alternative Board expands its presence in Leeds
The Alternative Board’s Leeds Central franchise is set to be relaunched by a successful franchisee.
The Alternative Board (TAB) is expanding its presence in Leeds, thanks to franchisee Dave McCartney.
McCartney, who has worked for decades in corporate business, launched his original franchise in North Leeds almost 10 years ago. When the time came to renew his 10-year franchise agreement for his territory, he took the opportunity to expand into the centre of the city by acquiring the central Leeds franchise as well.
McCartney has built his business over the years, recruiting global leadership and coaching specialist Lisa Florit to ensure he’s offering the best advice to his board members. His North Leeds franchise currently supports four boards of local business owners and leaders who offer monthly one-to-one coaching and advice to more than 25 board members. Keen to offer TAB’s services to even more struggling businesses, McCartney plans to launch two more boards by the end of the year.
McCartney explained why he made the decision to expand his business with the new franchise.
“Leeds is one of the country’s fastest growing cities, with a diverse economy and the highest number of high growth firms outside London and the South East. It’s vibrant, it’s exciting, it’s going places and I can see that TAB has a clear role to play in helping to build an even stronger business community here.”
He also explained how, over the years, he’s seen demand grow for the services of TAB and felt that by expanding, he could offer TAB’s support to even more business owners and leaders across the city.
With more than 70 boards operating in over 30 locations across the UK, The Alternative Board is currently helping more than 400 members improve their businesses every single month. On average, businesses who get help from TAB achieve an average annual revenue growth of 15%, nearly double the UK national average.
