They did it: Janet and Peter Grimes have just registered their 200th client, less than two years after investing in the Nationwide Cleaners business. Next target: 300 clients by the summer of 2019.
The Nationwide Cleaners franchise, founded in 2008 by Peter Munro and winner of the Best Cleaning Franchise 2016 in the Business Excellence Awards, can boast yet another success story: that of Janet and Peter.
It took less than 2 years for Janet and Peter to reach the 200-client milestone with their Nationwide Cleaners business in Dorset.
Today, their lives look very different to the way they did two years ago. Back then, Peter was retired and in need of a new challenge, while Janet, a busy Training and Business Development manager, was looking for a rewarding job that would leave her more free time.
The Nationwide Cleaners franchise seemed the ideal option for the couple: they could run their business from home, work with self-employed cleaners (there is no payroll to manage) and the franchise fee was affordable (it takes £8,000 to start operating a Nationwide Cleaners business).

At first, Janet kept on working part-time, while Peter focused his efforts on developing the cleaning services and the marketing side of the branch.

Further down the road, Janet was able to leave her part-time job and dedicate more time to cultivating the business. The couple’s ambition is now to sign 100 more clients by next summer. To achieve this objective, they will get help from Alex, a top franchisee who also provides training to the different branches.
