Rocketís is taking its delicious burgers to Germany in its first international opening.
Irish diner franchise Rocketís is taking the first step towards global domination, announcing it has secured its first sites in Germany. Parent company Rocket Restaurants Limited has signed a franchise agreement with Areas, part of global food services giant Elior Group and aims to open 20 of its diner style franchises in the next three years. Its first location is at Baden-Wurttemburgís Centre Parcs, where guests will be able to enjoy Rocketís delicious range of burgers, fries and shakes during their weekend breaks.
Niall Fortune, founder and managing director, said:
ďWe are convinced that Areas is the ideal partner to establish Rocketís on a long-term and sustainable basis in Germany.Ē
He added that he felt Areasí experience in ďbuilding brand awareness and market shareĒ in a tough and competitive market would help Rocketís establish itself as a popular brand in the German market.
The franchise has ambitious goals, with Fortune expecting to add 30 more restaurants to the 50 established sites by 2020. Sites that are being targeted include service stations and other transport hubs and shopping centres, for their ability to accommodate Rocketís fast-casual dining style.
Established in 1989 by Niall Fortune, Rocketís and its sister brand Eddie Rocketís have grown into one of the best loved American diner-style franchises in Ireland. Its fantastic food and successful business model have been celebrated numerous times, winning the 2017 Irish Franchise of the Year award and other accolades for its growth and positive franchisee experience.
