Two female franchisees at Puddle Ducks have been announced as finalists in the 2020 NatWest Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWIF) Awards.

Kim Pinnington, who owns the North West Midlands, South Cheshire and Wrexham branches of Puddle Ducks, has been put forward for the EWIF Woman Franchisee of the Year category. Victoria Rowley, who runs Puddle Ducks’ East Kent site, is up for the Young Woman in Franchising of the Year 2020 award.

EWIF was set up to support women to build their own franchise businesses and help franchisors incorporate more female entrepreneurs into their networks. Its annual ceremony shines a light on the highest flyers in the industry.

During her journey as a Puddle Ducks franchisee, Kim has overcome many obstacles. She’s managed to achieve impressive growth in profit, teacher numbers, pools and customers, despite losing a pool and office after a fire.

Victoria has also worked incredibly hard on her business. The 29-year-old bought her franchise unit five years ago, and since then, customer numbers have increased by 43 percent. What’s more, she’s doubled the turnover and incorporated new pools and staff into her business.

Jo Stone, Managing Director of the swimming franchise said:

“Kim and Victoria are both inspirational women and deserving finalists in their respective categories. I am very proud of their achievements and outstanding contribution to the Puddle Ducks franchising network.

“It has been a challenging year for everyone, but the determination and enthusiasm showed by our franchisees and national office has been wonderful. I wish Kim, Victoria and all the other finalists the very best for the awards.”

We won’t have to wait long for the announcement of the EWIF winners; this year’s ceremony will take place online on Wednesday 21st October, 2-5pm. Good luck Kim and Victoria!
