Pizza Hut franchisor steps into the future with state-of-the art electronic self-driving pizza delivery vehicles.
This year’s International Consumer Electronics Show was delivered a surprise by the pizza franchise giant with the announcement of their partnership with Toyota to develop fully-autonomous delivery vehicles. An unprecedented innovation that requires no drives and improves mobility all around the world. At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Toyota unveiled their ‘especially designed for Pizza Hut’ self-driving vehicle called e-Palette. As one of the founding members of a new ‘mobility service business alliance’, Pizza Hut has also partnered with Amazon, Didi, Mazda and Uber. To further improve the delivery experience, Pizza Hut has developed a new algorithm that perfects the accuracy and reliability of deliveries, specially designed pouches that keep pizzas up to 15 degrees hotter and a-first-time-ever-in-the-US beer and wine delivery.

The new mobility service business alliance allows for the development of a broad-base ecosystem of hardware and software support that offers companies to better serve their customers through an advanced mobility technology. Toyota Mobility Services Platform develops a range of connected mobility solutions including e-Palette, the flexible and purpose-built fully autonomous vehicle. The testing of e-Palette in the US is scheduled for 2020.
