My Window Cleaner has been recognised as an up-and-coming business and nominated for a prize at this year’s BFA HSBC British Franchise Awards.
The window cleaning franchise, which was established in 1996, has made it to the final shortlist for the event’s Emerging Franchisor of the Year category. The BFA HSBC awards ceremony is one of the most prestigious in the franchise industry, and being recognised in it is a huge achievement. But the team behind the My Window Cleaner brand will have to wait until 30th November to find out who will take home the prize.
The business’s Franchise Director, Ian Bradley, believes the company’s use of innovative technology has helped it stand out from the competition. The My Window Cleaner app and IT system, named Gloria, takes care of administrative tasks, from generating invoices, KPIs and management reports, to telling customers when to expect a visit.
“To be recognised as one of the best emerging franchisors in the UK is wonderful and demonstrates the power of our unique offering to potential franchise partners. Applying modern technology to an industry that has lacked it is giving customers reliability and professionalism, helping franchise owners dominate in their local area.”
HSBC’s Head of Franchising, Andrew Brattesani, noted:
“Despite being such a new franchise system, a lot of the groundwork already exists, including a state-of-the-art IT system, resulting in 30 percent more efficiency from franchisees, who are on the ground growing the business.”
The BFA’s CEO, Pip Wilkins was also quick to compliment the franchise:
“Although the company began in 1996, My Window Cleaner has only been franchising since very recently. The business, which has found a real niche in the marketplace, is really starting to grow and consolidate the market in territories where it currently operates.”
