My Window Cleaner has been advising its franchisees how they can keep their business successful through the colder months.

The colder months can be tricky for anyone who works outdoors, particularly those in trades like window cleaning. So, My Window Cleaner has been offering its franchisees advice about how they can keep their books full through the winter months, even when outside work is out of the question.

Founder Karen Prewer published an insightful blog post that advised franchisees and those in the trade. She says that window cleaners can lose as many as three or four days per year to bad weather and that its up to them to ensure unpleasant conditions don’t make them lose out on business.

Due to the window cleaning franchise’s innovative IT system, it’s able to inform customers quickly of any changes. Prewer explains that this adds to the professional image that the brand has cultivated and saves a franchise owner time, as they don’t have to sit at a phone or desk wasting time with individual communications. She also explained how, in the event of bad weather, clients can be notified as quickly as possible that their clean has been cancelled or rescheduled, ensuring their time isn’t wasted.

She encourages franchisee to try and diversify their range of services when poor weather limits the number of outdoor cleans they can complete. Services including indoor window cleaning can be offered regardless of the weather and are greatly undervalued services that make a home look clean and fresh.

She shares the story of franchisee Josh, who is based in Bournemouth, who managed to win 43 new customers during the month of January, many of which who needed gutter cleaning which can be completed no matter what the weather is.
