A Molly Maid franchisee has explained why she chose to join the business and what she’s achieved since doing so.
Franchisee Simone Berisford Ince joined Molly Maid in 2001 when her children were young. Looking for an investment opportunity to suit her lifestyle at the time, she chose Molly Maid because of the support it offered her, allowing her to set up her business quickly and easily.
Before joining the cleaning franchise, Berisford Ince had worked in HR, which prepared her well to start a “people business” involving regular interaction with customers. And from the first moment the entrepreneur and her husband got in touch with Molly Maid, they were impressed with its professionalism and support network.
Since she signed on the dotted line, Berisford Ince has won a number of accolades. Molly Maid’s Outstanding Achievement Award in 2003 and the British Franchise Association’s Franchisee of the Year prize in 2005 recognised her hard work from day one. But she claims her biggest achievement is in creating a business that “not only supports [her] family… but also provides secure employment for approximately 40 people”.
Berisford Ince strives to make sure her customers always receive the highest quality service and maintain the franchise’s great reputation. And she has some wise words for hopeful entrepreneurs who want to join the brand:
“Be prepared to work hard and follow the system. Don't try and reinvent the wheel – Molly Maid has a good business model and it will work if you follow it.”
