In a recent LinkedIn post, the drainage company reminded its customers of Recycle Week, and laid out some simple environmental impact reduction tips.
Right now, it’s Recycle Week 2021. The week runs from September 20th to September 26th, making today the second to last day. During this special week, Metro Rod is proud to acknowledge and respect the importance of recycling. Metro Rod then shared its four recycling tips with customers. The first tip was that recycling bins should be used for food waste, rather than this type of waste ending up in landfill with the rest of the black bin rubbish. The second tip was that excess water should be reused, rather than tipped away and wasted.
The third? Use reusable bags instead of plastic, preventing unnecessary waste and swapping out a disposable solution for a less environmentally damaging alternative. Fourth and finally, Metro Rod told its customers to consider installing a rain barrel to catch excess water - yet another way to prevent water waste and sustainably repurpose.
