Mike Black is named as the new CEO for Dent Wizard International, the Canadian car repair franchise.
Mike Black, who has previously held the roles of COO and president for Dent Wizard, has been promoted to CEO. He started his new role at the beginning of April, taking over from Terry Koebbe who has become the firm’s chairman.
As CEO, Black will lead the company and seek ways to drive growth. He is also more generally responsible for the various areas within the business.
He will report to the new chairman, Koebbe, who will advise the senior management team and support the firm’s mergers and acquisitions strategy. Koebbe has worked at Dent Wizard for 27 years. He commented on the new structure, “I’m looking forward to this next phase of my career, mentoring Mike and providing assistance in any way I can. I’m also excited about leading our mergers and acquisitions efforts to find good companies that expand our capabilities and add more great people to our team”.
It is unclear at this stage how Dent Wizard aims to grow, but it is certain that the franchise has plans to focus on North America.
The company is centred on its team, which it sees as the driver behind its growth. Black explains, “our people make the difference. We’re an organization focused on serving our clients and delivering on our commitments… We continue to expand our business across North America, and with that expansion add talented, inspired team members who help our clients and embrace our core values”.
Black points out that the firm’s core values include excellence, integrity, innovation and customer devotion. As someone who champions the company’s values, it is easy to see why he has been appointed as CEO.
Koebbe support this, saying, “Mike has done an incredible job in his seven-plus years as COO, and deserves the opportunity to lead Dent Wizard as CEO. I’m confident he will continue to be a great leader”.
Dent Wizard is North America’s leading vehicle reconditioning firm. It provides cosmetic repairs for cars and vans, including restoration of dents, scratches, alloy-wheel blemishes and interior damage.
