Heritage Healthcare’s head office team members got baking in honour of Cupcake Day, raising money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society.
The home care franchise, headquartered in Darlington, baked a beautiful batch of cakes to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society, a UK care and research charity that supports individuals affected by dementia.
Supporting the crucial work of Alzheimer’s Society matters, because in the words of Heritage Healthcare, “There are currently an estimated 850,000 people in the UK living with dementia and this number is expected to rise to 1.6 million in the next 20 years. Currently, 4.9% of the people with dementia in the UK are under 65.”
Many residents of Darlington turned out to show their support, and some shared personal, touching stories about their dealings with dementia and the support they’d been provided by charities like Alzheimer’s Society. Just under £75 was raised, all of which will go to a fantastic charity.
At Heritage Healthcare, franchisees across the country care for people as they move through the various stages of dementia. “With our care services, we can provide support to people living with dementia within their own homes, allowing them to live independently for longer. For someone living with dementia, staying at home surrounded by treasured memories and possessions can be very important to help them feel safe and comfortable.”
All Heritage Healthcare team members are trained to the highest standards so that they can provide a professional, dedicated service to all their clients. Care plans are tailored, and Heritage Healthcare will work with the individual, their loved ones and external healthcare professionals to create a bespoke plan suited to individual needs.
If you’d like to become a franchisee with this dedicated, life-improving franchise, you’ll need to make a minimum investment of £35,994. For more information, visit Heritage Healthcare’s profile page, linked above.
