FiltaFry continues German expansion

FiltaFry Europe’s ambitious German expansion plan is showing no signs of slowing down over the coming months.

FiltaFry has been reflecting on the success of its targeted expansion plan in Germany, which has seen it acquire 14 franchisees over the course of just four years. Since it arrived in the country, its network of hard-working franchisees has built up a list of more than 400 designated customers from across the food service business. These include hotels, major caterers, students’ unions and furniture chains, as well as stadiums, leisure facilities and restaurants across the country.

Over the course of 2019, new locations of the van-based franchise have included Berlin, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Ulm and Hannover. Other franchisees have expanded their operations to new territories, including Cologne, Munich/Upper Bavaria and Vienna.

Speaking about the progress FiltaFry Europe has made in Germany, Managing Director Jos van Aalst said:

“We have come a great distance closer to our goal of being represented in all major cities and regions in the medium term. We have become more appealing to nationwide caterers, burger chains and furniture stores with multiple locations wishing to fry sustainably, save oil, and ease the workload of their staff when it comes to fryer cleaning and handling hot oil.”

In addition to welcoming new franchisees, FiltaFry has expanded the services it offers. As well as its unique oil filtration service, which extends the life of oil and takes away the arduous task of cleaning fryers for staff, FiltaFry has introduced ‘FiltaSeal’ and ‘FiltaDrain’. The former ensures that all commercial refrigerators have appropriate seals that keep them as energy efficient as possible, while the latter is a probiotic drain cleaner that clears drains without using nasty chemicals.
