FASTSIGNS is helping US students celebrate their graduation from high school during the COVID-19 pandemic.
For many students this year, the inability to attend graduation has been an anti-climactic end to years of hard work and study. In a bid to lift celebratory spirits, the Fishers FASTSIGNS branch in Indiana has been offering a discount for graduation banners and signs for US high school seniors.
Heather Reeve, certified account manager for FASTSIGNS said “Talking with the people I work with, we felt really bad. This is a great time in their lives and they’re trying to celebrate that and there is no way to do it.”
Heather continued “They’re not with their school classmates. Their parents can’t do much for them (to celebrate). There is no official (in-person) graduation. That even extends to college as well. Then you have all the people in the field risking their lives for everybody and not getting as much appreciation as they deserve, although there are a lot of wonderful people doing signage and parades.”
The sign franchise crafts signage that can include pictures, names, the class, mascots or any other additional features that customers may want to include to mark the milestone for graduates. In an effort to boost morale during these unprecedented times, signs are also discounted for first responders and healthcare workers.
Heather says the signs are a great way for parents who want to “dress up their house and neighbourhood to recognise their children’s achievements.”
The discounting of signs for graduates, first responders and health care workers has been in place since the beginning of May and will continue until mid-June.
