James Ekhator is currently making the transition from engineer to full-time franchise owner with the help of the B2B support services franchise.

eDivert only recently welcomed James to the network’s ranks, and the business franchise was keen to check in at this early stage and see how things were going for him. In James’s words, “I am an engineer by profession and I’m now transitioning between that and becoming a business owner. To do that, I need to run both activities side by side for a short time and the flexibility offered by eDivert makes that easy to do.” Though he’s not yet been able to, James has big plans “to move to full time eDivert as soon as possible”.

James prepared for running his eDivert franchise effectively by spending some time “delivering some of the telephone answering services within the eDivert franchise network”, and he felt this meant that he “could better understand what [he] needed to deliver to [his] clients”. The training was also really helpful for James, who said, “It has helped me understand how to set up and run my own business. It includes everything from how to register the business to running the finances and I now feel totally confident in something I had no real experience of before.”

Plus, James continued, “I’m really pleased to have got my first client so quickly, especially as it was someone from my own network. However, I wouldn’t have spotted the opportunity if it weren’t for the mentoring I’ve had from eDivert.” James expressed that he was happy to have found his ideal investment with the eDivert network, but his advice to other potential franchisees was that they do their homework and “ensure the business [they] choose is one that is right for [their] own needs”. He also recommended “asking as many questions as you can”, and praised eDivert for being “very happy to answer loads” in his case.

Finally, James said, “Once you’ve researched it and you’re happy, absolutely go for it. It’s a great way to start a business and be certain you have all the structure in place to be a success.” If working with this provider of B2B administrative assistance, customer service support and marketing guidance appeals, you can find out more about starting a journey just like James’s via eDivert’s profile page, which you’ll discover linked above.
