Former office manager of Driver Hire’s Wakefield franchise, Sarah Parker, has bought the transport and logistics recruitment business.

With 15 years of recruitment experience under her belt, Sarah Parker worked as a branch manager for the previous owners of Driver Hire Wakefield for some time. But when they shared their plans to sell the business, the ambitious entrepreneur jumped at the opportunity to become the new owner.

“I love working for Driver Hire and have wanted to buy the business for some time.”

Sarah knew how much the brand was thriving and couldn’t wait to take her career to the next level.

“I know how to run it; I know how successful it is. When the previous owners announced they were selling, it was a great opportunity and I didn’t want to miss it. I’m really excited.”

It wasn’t just Sarah that was thrilled to be taking on the new role. Graham Duckworth, Driver Hire’s Franchise Sales Director, added:

“We’re delighted to welcome Sarah to our franchised network. She’s one of a number of office managers who’ve taken the opportunity to buy the business they’ve been working for. We’re confident Sarah will be another highly successful Driver Hire franchisee.”

Driver Hire is the leading supplier of drivers and logistics staff to a variety of organisations in both the private and public sectors. For over 30 years, it has been supplying suitable replacements when businesses are short on staff and making many people’s lives much easier.

Sarah concluded:

“There’s plenty of potential here in Wakefield. I’m looking forward to growing the business further by meeting the staffing needs of any local businesses, and indeed any organisation, which operates a fleet of vehicles.”

Driver Hire is proud to be the current British Franchise Association (BFA) HSBC ‘Franchisor of the Year’. The prestigious title proves the management franchise’s commitment to ethical franchising and strong support network for franchisees.

It is currently looking to expand its franchise network through Point Franchise. Click here to read more about the opportunity and to request more information.
