Clara James Tutoring’s franchisor looks back on her time as an entrepreneur and describes her decision to franchise her education business.
When Dawn was recently asked why she chose to franchise Clara James Tutoring, she was prompted to reflect on her experiences. She realised it all began with her passion for teaching; she explained:
Over the past eight years, I’ve spoken to a lot of parents... about what they have experienced with other tutors, tales they have heard and what they offer. So many times, I am shocked and not in a positive way, sadly.
At Clara James Tutoring, each child is treated as an individual, with specific needs and requirements. Dawn could see her business offered something different and had the potential to help children across the country. She started thinking about how she could roll out her tutoring service:
If I had managers around the country, they would never put the time and dedication into the business as it would be nothing more than a job to them. I knew the only way to ensure I could spread our standards was through franchising because this would be the only way I knew the people who got involved were as dedicated as I was. They had the same standards and beliefs. Their philosophies would be the same as mine. Together we could make a huge difference and help many more children.
