The acquisition of four more properties is part of the UK’s expansion programme of Choice Hotels’ four-star Clarion Collection brand and the Ascend Hotel Collection portfolio.
The leading hotel franchise group Choice Hotels is rapidly expanding throughout the UK and across Europe, with brands that include Comfort, Quality, Clarion and Ascend Hotel Collection. The four recently acquired upscale hotels are located in Yorkshire towns and cities of Harrogate, Bradford, Wakefield and Huddersfield. Three of the properties that are now part of the Clarion Collection hotels, were part of Yorkshire’s largest independent hotel collection previously known as Cedar Court Hotels and the fourth hotel, previously known as Cedar Court Harrogate Hotel is now an Ascend Hotel Collection.
The Ascend Hotel Collection member, The Cedar Court Harrogate Hotel is an historic Grade II listed property that dates back to 1671 and it sits regally on the grounds of the towns very first hotel in the 200-acre Stray Parkland. Conveniently located in walking distance from the town’s centre, the sprawling luxury hotel offers 100 guest rooms, a restaurant, a fitness club and six function rooms that can be hired for weddings, banquets and conference for up to 350 guests. Another member of the Clarion Hotel Collection is The Cedar Court Bradford, also conveniently located near the town centres of Bradford and Leeds. With 131 guest rooms, it features a restaurant, a health club with a pool and one of the largest conference and banqueting venues in the North. The Cedar Court Hudderfield and The Cedar Court Wakesfield offer upscale standing and amenities of equal measure.
