Attendees and participants of Driver’s Hire annual conference raise their glasses to celebrate this year’s top award-winning franchisees.

The Driver Hire’s 2018 annual conference was a happening filled with jubilance as the achievements of its top performing and long-standing franchisees were received with accolades. The winner of ‘Franchise of Year’ award was presented to the owner of the Chelmsford Driver’s Hire franchise, David Quinn and other top award winners included: Nic Chaviaris (Gatwick), Rod Halling (Plymouth), Carrie-Ann Donohue (York) and Manjit Singh (Enfield).

An additional eighteen franchisees walked down the red carpet to collect awards, eight franchises received awards in recognition for having reached turnover pinnacles exceeding the 1.5m mark and seven were awarded for long-term franchisee partnerships with Driver’s Hire, ranging from ten to twenty-five years.

Held at the regal Newcastle Hilton, this year’s Driver’s Hire annual franchise award conference also gave participants the perfect opportunity to expand on their business knowledge and networks. Business writer and mentor, Mark Rhodes was the conference’s keynote speaker and Driver’s Hire chief executive, Chris Chidley showed up to beat the drum on another successful franchise business year. 2017’s Finance Montly FinTech Awards Data Protection Lawyer of the Year, Mark Lumley from Shulmans was there to offer the Driver’s Hire network advice and information on the General Data Protection Regulations and Clare Bottle, associate director of Warehousing Coca-Cola European Partners presented further insight into the UK logistics industry. A guest appearance from TV magician Ben Hanlin gave meaning to the Driver’s Hire 2018 conference banners “Make Waves”.

In business for over 30 years, Driver Hire is the largest specialist supplier of staff to the transport and logistics industry in the UK, providing drivers and logistics staff to local and national organisations in both public and private sectors.
