Boots Opticians in Truro won a national award for its success in the optician industry.

Each year, the Optician Awards recognise the achievements of the best optician practices in the country. Awarding 18 winners in total, it is one of the most sought-after prizes for optician businesses, and this year, Boots Opticians in Truro has been awarded the Multiple Practice title.

The franchise fought off competition from Specsavers South Shields, Specsavers Sutton-in-Ashfield and Vision Express Boston to take home the award. Firms were nominated by customers, showing just how important customer experience is for the judges.

This particular award recognises the power that a national brand can have at local level. To win the award, Boots Opticians Truro had to demonstrate how it offers excellent customer service, delivers first-class clinical care and has positively impacted the local community. The judges also recognised the importance of a national brand, so Boots Opticians Truro needed to show that it uses the brand to help deliver its service. That’s not all, the franchise needed to illustrate how it manages big team working and follows best practice in the eyecare profession.

As part of its entry, practices needed to include a 1,000-word statement and other supporting material including images, website links, videos and testimonials. There were more than 240 entries in total.

Boots Opticians Truro was named the winner of the Multiple Practice award at a ceremony in Birmingham, where it was joined by numerous other optician practices from across the UK.

This commendation is one of the highest accolades for optical professionals, which will help Boots Opticians Truro to communicate its expertise to the local community.
