Baskin Robbins Introduces… Sandwiches

Baskin Robbins has branched out into the world of sandwiches, but they’re not quite what you expect.

Baskin Robbins is the king of desserts, famed for its ice-cream, sundaes and great toppings. And its latest release is bound to get ice-cream-lovers’ eyes watering. It’s a new and sweet take on a sandwich, taking inspiration from already-popular Polar Pizza. By sandwiching together two giant cookies with ice cream and topping it with cream and sprinkles, the giant desert is a big sharable cake-like offering – ideal for parties.

There are two options for those with a sweet tooth. One is a chocolate chip cookie with whipped cream and sprinkles named the Celebration Cake. The other is the Fudge Brownie ‘n Oreo Cookie Cake, which has a chocolate fudge cookie, whipped cream, chocolate drizzle and Oreo cookies on top. Made from a soft cookie dough that’s slightly underbaked, they remain soft and chewy, even with the ice cream in the middle. That’s not all – any flavour of ice cream can go in the middle. But choose wisely as there will be more than a pint of ice cream sandwiched between the cookies.

Baskin Robbins has also been busy recently creating two new flavours of ice cream, which people can choose for their cookie sandwich fillings if they’re feeling adventurous. There’s a Boston Cream Pie with chocolate ice cream, pound cake pieces, a chocolate swirl and Boston Cream Pie filling. Then there’s the Horchata Ice, inspired by the Mexican drink made from ground almonds, sesame seeds and rice. This ice cream is vegan and has a coconut and cinnamon taste.

These brand-new ice cream sandwiches aren’t Baskin Robbins’ only cakes. It has created a whole range of options that are shaped like perfect cakes and topped with decorations to give ice-cream-lovers their ideal celebration cakes. Some of the cakes also have sponge in the middle.

Baskin Robbins is a worldwide franchise with 7,300 ice cream outlets in nearly 50 countries. It has been selling sweet treats for more than 65 years and is part of the Dunkin’ brand, which also has Dunkin’ Donuts under its name.
