Auntie Anne’s celebrates National Best Friends Day by teaming up with a food delivery service.
Pretzel giant Auntie Anne’s teamed up with a national delivery service to celebrate the unofficial holiday of ‘Best Friends Day’. The holiday falls every year on June 8th and to mark the occasion Auntie Anne’s partnered with DoorDash to offer free delivery on all orders over $10. The offer was available to hungry customers all across the US from 7th-9th June, meaning they could sample the franchise’s sweet and savoury signature soft pretzels without even needing to leave the house.
Marcel Nahm, Auntie Anne’s Vice President of Marketing, expressed the takeaway franchise’s excitement at the partnership.
"We're excited to partner with DoorDash to celebrate National Best Friends Day as another opportunity to bring pretzel snacks to the people. With $0 delivery fees on Auntie Anne's orders through DoorDash all weekend long, it's the perfect occasion to satisfy your cravings for some pretzels and lemonade with your best friend."
Auntie Anne’s continued the celebrations on social media, encouraging customers to join in the conversation with the hashtag #NationalBestFriendDay on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. They were encouraged to share selfies of them enjoying its signature pretzels, either in the company of their friends or if they were indulging in a treat alone.
The franchise’s internationally famous soft pretzels come in a wide range of flavours. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, you can pick up an original, cinnamon sugar or sweet almond pretzel. If savoury is more your thing, you can try sour cream & onion, roasted garlic & parmesan or pepperoni, in either full-size pretzels, Pretzel Nuggets, Pretzel Dogs or Mini Pretzel Dogs. To top it all off, you can choose any of the franchise’s seven tasty dipping sauces to accompany your delicious pretzel treat.
