Anytime Fitness has just opened its 150th club in the UK as part of its European expansion plan.
Anytime Fitness’ quest to dominate Europe’s health club market has reached a milestone, as it has been celebrating the opening of its 150th UK club.
In the eight years since it landed in the UK, Anytime Fitness has expanded much more rapidly than many of its competitors and is now the UK’s second largest private health club company. The 24/7 fitness space opened its first club in the city of Bristol in 2010 and its latest opening in Paignton, Devon marks an impressive 150 Anytime Fitness locations across the country.
Anytime Fitness’ CEO, Chuck Ranyon, commented on the milestone achievement for the franchise’s UK operations.
“The rate of growth showcases the commercial strength of the brand as well as the commitment of its franchisees. We know the team in the UK is working hard to fulfil its objective of becoming the largest fitness club operator in the market and we look forward to celebrating their next milestone.”
Anytime Fitness has managed to grow in a crowded health club market thanks to its unique approach to fitness. From its complementary personalised ‘Get Started’ plans for all members, to personal training and a huge range of classes to its innovative app that offers plenty of workout inspiration, it’s setting itself apart from its competition.
Stuart Broster, Anytime Fitness UK CEO, explained how pleased the company was to be celebrating the milestone opening. He said:
